Winners of Golden Duke and Lifetime Achievement Award

Perrone Robotics is honored to have won their second Duke Award issued by Sun Microsystems. Each year, Sun selects up to 10 top projects in the Java community and awards them the prestigious Duke Award. This year, Perrone Robotics was honored to have received their second Duke for their Java enabling of Neil Young’s LincVolt car. The Duke was also issued as a “Golden Duke”, only one other of which is known to have been awarded to Sun’s Scott McNealy in 2006. Furthermore, the award also came with a Lifetime Achievement Award for our work in applying Java to the field of robotics.
