Perrone Robotics Rebrands With a New Logo
An updated design for a new focus.CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA, February 9, 2017 -- Perrone Robotics, Inc. (“PRI”) is excited to announce the release of their new company logo.Since its conception in 2003, Perrone Robotics, Inc. (PRI), has developed autonomous robotics software. Over the past 14 years, we have operated with our classic logo and color scheme, that represented the company’s dedication to robotics.Our former logo was simply the company name in a typeface called Magneto. This typeface was chosen by our founder Paul Perrone who was inspired by the retro futurism of the older World’s Fairs and the concept of Walt Disney’s Tomorrowland - both inspirations reflecting a future utopia made better by technology. The Perrone Robotics logo reflected that vision and the retro yet futuristic ideas. This logo was used on the Tommy and Tommy Jr. vehicles at the DARPA Grand and Urban Challenges in 2005 and 2007.As the company grew, the focus sharpened on our general-purpose robotics software platform MAX. MAX offered an efficient way to automate vehicles and other robotic devices and evolved into a robust, multiple-tier software platform. The MAX logo became the face of our efforts with an autonomous Lincoln Navigator and newer, drive-by-wire, Lincoln MKZ.By late 2016 we refocused the company into a software platform company and recognized the need for a clearer, more professional logo that would be memorable and attractive at trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events. We enlisted the help of a design firm in Boston called Metropolis to bring this ambition to life.
