Nolan Bushnell is a technology innovator and entrepreneur best known as the inventor of the game “Pong” and as the founder of Atari.  While still involved in gaming, including through his latest startup, Modal VR, an end-to-end virtual reality platform that delivers large-scale and fully wireless immersion for multiple users at once, Nolan has also founded many other technology companies such as: Catalyst Technologies, the first technology incubator; Etak, the first car navigation system; ByVideo, the first online ordering system using kiosks;  Androbot, a personal robotics company; and Brainrush, which has developed video-game based learning software that incorporates adaptive learning technologies to vastly increase the speed and efficacy of learning.  Nolan also founded Chuck E. Cheese's in 1976, noted as the first family restaurant to combine food, animated entertainment, and an indoor arcade.“Having Nolan as a Board member brings our company an incredible depth of knowledge and wisdom in innovation, business, and robotics”, stated Paul Perrone, CEO and founder of Perrone Robotics.  “Nolan’s insights are invaluable from a technology perspective, but he also brings solid entrepreneurial business advice and a rich creative perspective to our meetings.”Nolan has been fascinated by robots for a very long time. He was an early pioneer attempting to bring robots to the masses dating back to his 1980’s Androbot company and their robots Topo, B.O.B., and Fred.  He recognized the potential for robots to assist us with everyday tasks but the ideas were ahead of their time for what the technology could provide.“I am very interested in the work Perrone Robotics has done with a core team to create a compelling general purpose robotics platform” said Nolan.  “They’ve solved so many of the problems that frustrated me with Androbot.  Clearly, they can scale all the way up to autonomously driving an automobile, and I’m interested to see where else we can apply this technology.”Nolan Bushnell’s appointment to the Board commences immediately.
