Perrone Robotics at JavaOne 2010

Perrone Robotics once again attended and presented at the JavaOne conference September 19th to 23rd, 2010 in San Francisco, CA. We've been attending the annual JavaOne conference since 1999. It's a yearly right of passage whereby we get to mingle with old friends and find out what's going on in the Java community. We've presented technical talks at nearly every one of the conferences we've attended and for the past 5 conferences, we've also been part of the keynote talks. During this year's JavaOne, Perrone Robotics' Brian Geiger and Jim Ryan were there to present a technical session on Laser Sensors and Measurement of Vehicles on a Highway (Session ID S313890, Wednesday, September 22, 1pm). We also were part of the keynote on Thursday. While at the conference Brian and Jim picked up our Duke Award received for our laser-based vehicle measurement system fielded on the Pennsylvania Turnpike. While founder Paul Perrone is usually present at the conference and participating in the sessions and talks, this year he was only there virtually as part of the Future of Java campaign and in spirit as he was in Florida at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino presenting on behalf of a Java-sponsored project known as "LincVolt".
