PRI & SAE & Autonomy

PRI and SAE are teaming up again to evaluate consumer attitudes towards autonomy - this time at wonderful Babcock Ranch in Florida.  Babcock Ranch is a planned community spearheaded by Syd Kitson and is a progressive and innovative community seeking to leverage technology to create a self-sustaining and aesthetically pleasing residential environment.  Babcock Ranch has had autonomous shuttles operating there for about 1 year, and now Perrone Robotics will show their advanced technology there.

This event will run the week of December 10th with State and local Government representatives taking rides, and then open rides for the public will start on Wednesday December 12.  See more information about the event and the other participating partners.

For this event Perrone's Rover vehicle will navigate a suburban setting with several turns and intersections to give riders a sense of how vehicles equipped with our MAX Autonomy engine would perform in a typical community environment.  Of course MAX will also be used in our forthcoming shuttles and we expect them to operate in very similar environments - therefore it's a good test for us as well.
