Perrone Robotics Hires Chief legal officer

After a distinguished 30-year career at major law firms, Mike Raschid wanted to do something new and exciting. He knew that Perrone Robotics was a dynamic and energetic company since he had served as outside counsel for Perrone Robotics for over 10 years. Paul Perrone immediately reached out to Mike upon hearing of his plans to leave his role as a partner at a leading Washington, DC firm to see if he could be enticed to join the Perrone Robotics team. Mike enthusiastically accepted and joined Perrone Robotics as our new Chief Legal Officer on July 1, 2016.Mike Raschid comes to Perrone Robotics with a wealth of experience working with technology companies on their strategic transactional matters and intellectual property matters. He has worked at some of the leading law firms in the country, and was one of the founding partners in the first East Coast office of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich and Rosati, a leading Silicon Valley firm.  Most recently, he was a partner in the Technology Transactions practice of Arnold & Porter LLP, in its Washington, DC office.  Earlier in his career, Mike was also an attorney at IBM Corporation, handling legal matters in the division responsible for IBM's mainframe computers.  Mike has had a broad practice focusing principally on the representation of technology companies, venture capitalists, and sovereigns in their domestic and international technology transactional matters.  He also has deep experience with the intellectual property issues that arise in investment, M&A and other strategic transactions..Paul Perrone said “As we focused on the commercialization of our MAX robotics software platform, we knew that we would need strong legal representation and knowledge in protecting our intellectual property and in structuring and consummating complex licensing and distribution transactions.  Mike’s knowledge and experience both of our business and our legal needs made him an ideal fit.”As Chief Legal Officer, Mike reports to CEO Paul Perrone and works closely with COO Greg Scharer in executing on legal strategy and the day to day management of legal matters, including overseeing our outside counsel relationships.
