Perrone Robotics Completes Phase I of Testing Institute Contract

Perrone Robotics has successfully completed Phase I of its contract to deliver to a national automotive testing institute a robotic systems for testing crash avoidance technology in cars and trucks. The Autonomous Vehicle Test System (AVTS) delivered for Phase I included one Target Robot that supports a variety of soft targets for collision up to 55 mph and one Drop-in Actuator Kit (DAK) for rapidly automating any vehicle to be tested. Perrone Robotics successfully demonstrated using the AVTS to execute several test profiles including National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) Crash-Imminent Braking (CIB), NHTSA Dynamic Brake Support (DBS) and Euro NCAP Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB).
