Paul Perrone, Founder/CEO of Perrone Robotics, was recently interviewed by writer Bill Howard for the Extreme Tech website. Paul discussed a range of topics including how the company’s autonomous software platform can be used for applications as diverse as small personal robots, to autonomous forklifts, to automobiles, to immense surface haul mining trucks weighing over 600 tons.
The common thread is the MAX(tm) platform which supports all of these different platforms in the same way – by abstracting the sensor inputs, the control outputs, and even most of the decision logic enabling a user to focus on the unique parts of their solution. Further, work done in one solution can often migrate over without change to another solution – thus work in one area can benefit all.
