Perrone Robotics Hires New CMO

Perrone Robotics, Inc. (“PRI”) is pleased to announce that it has hired David Hofert, a seasoned industry executive with over thirty years of experience in marketing and business development, as its Chief Marketing Officer and Vice President of Sales. Dave will report to Paul Perrone, CEO of PRI, and will join PRI’s executive team. Most recently, Dave was the Senior Director, Java Embedded and IoT Business Development for Oracle, where he helped drive new business opportunities for the Java embedded software sales group.

Dave began his career as an application and software developer in the laser and machine vision industry and took on a variety of technical roles in web and XML products and standards at Sun Microsystems. After earning his Executive MBA from Boston University, Dave joined the Java Embedded Product Management team to launch two new products for the embedded and real-time market. In 2005 Dave organized funding for PRI’s entry into the DARPA Grand Challenge and the subsequent DARPA Urban Challenge in 2007. His collaboration with PRI continued with JavaOne Keynotes for projects like Neil Young’s LincVolt, a 1959 Lincoln Continental created to showcase clean automobile propulsion technology, and an ABB robot. More recently, Dave was focused on developing an IoT strategy for Oracle’s Embedded Java business while also running world-wide Partner Sales, Architecture, and Business Development teams for such business.
